Famous economist Peter Schiff, also known as the “Gold Bug,” issued a warning after the Bitcoin halving.
On April 20, Peter Schiff made a statement that angered investors after the Bitcoin halving.
In his statement, he targeted Bitcoin investors, asking, “Are you celebrating tonight?,” implying that the halving will soon halve the net assets of investors:
“Congratulations to the Bitcoiners for the halving. Are you celebrating tonight? I wasn’t invited to any. I think halving is an appropriate name for what’s going to happen soon, as the net worth of Bitcoin investors will soon be halved.”
The economist, known for his frequent anti-Bitcoin statements, recently suggested that the selling by institutional investors could trigger a decline and Bitcoin’s price could start to collapse.
