The world’s largest stablecoin issuer, Tether, brought USDT support to the TON network.
USDT issuer Tether has been integrated into the Telegram-supported Toncoin’s TON blockchain. According to the information available on Tether’s official website, the integration process has been completed and users can now send/receive USDT to and from the TON network and perform all other eligible transactions.
In the initial phase, Tether injected 10 billion USDT into the TON network. An additional 7 billion USDT is currently pending authorization.
According to CoinGecko data, the positive news flow has led to a movement in TON’s price, experiencing a 5% increase in the past 4 hours, rising from $6.91 to $7.22.
With a long-standing upward trend, TON had gained new momentum thanks to Telegram’s advertising payment integration.
