Famous economist Peter Schiff, also known as the “Gold Bug”, warned investors after the Bitcoin halving.
Peter Schiff angered investors with his statement after the Bitcoin halving on April 20th in his social media post.
In his statement, the economist targeted Bitcoin investors by asking “Are you celebrating tonight?”. He warned that Bitcoin halving will soon cause the halving of investors’ net assets:
Congratulations to the Bitcoin holders for the halving. Are you celebrating tonight? I wasn’t invited to any of those. I think halving will soon be an appropriate name for those who will experience the halving of their net worth.
The economist, who often makes anti-Bitcoin statements, also recently suggested that the selling pressure from institutional investors could start a decline in Bitcoin prices.
