Dallas Mavericks team owner billionaire investor Mark Cuban commented on the effects of Bitcoin halving.

Mark Cuban said that due to Bitcoin halving, “miners will find it harder to make money.” However, the billionaire is particularly interested in its relationship with the artificial intelligence sector.

Cuban said, “The most interesting question about Halving is the GPU market. Miners need more power. There is an unprecedented demand for these GPUs in the artificial intelligence field. Will this disrupt the mining economy? Not only from a cost standpoint, but using these GPUs for model training, could it be a better job?”

Some cryptocurrency miners have entered the artificial intelligence sector over the past few years. However, Hut 8’s CSO Mike Ho said that many miners are struggling in this area.

Cuban said, “Very few miners have succeeded because this is not only a complementary pivot but also not as easy as it is thought to be. The infrastructure required for mining is cheaper and unlike artificial intelligence, mining is a linear business without customer involvement.
