A whale with hundreds of millions of dollars worth of Bitcoin (BTC) has finally sprung into action after months of dormancy.
According to data from the on-chain analysis platform Lookonchain, the Bitcoin whale that has been inactive for 8 months made its first move by transferring 2,000 Bitcoin worth $132 million to a new wallet.
Subsequently, this new wallet sent 1,100 Bitcoin worth $74.34 million to the cryptocurrency exchange Binance. This transaction was interpreted as a preparatory transfer before the sale.
The whale currently holds 8,900 Bitcoin worth $597.55 million across all of its wallets.
According to CoinGecko data, Bitcoin, which has shown a 1.2% increase in the last 24 hours, is currently trading at $67,000.
