A whale with hundreds of millions of dollars worth of Bitcoin (BTC) has made a move after months of inactivity.
According to data provided by the on-chain analysis platform Lookonchain, the Bitcoin whale that has been inactive for 8 months woke up. The whale made its first transaction by transferring 2,000 Bitcoin worth $132 million to a new wallet.
Then, through this new wallet, it sent 1,100 Bitcoin worth $74.34 million to the cryptocurrency exchange Binance. This transaction was interpreted as a preparatory transfer before the sale.
The whale currently holds 8,900 Bitcoin worth $597.55 million in all of its wallets.
According to CoinGecko data, Bitcoin, which has shown a 1.2% increase in the last 24 hours, is trading at $67,000 at the time of writing.
