The first cryptocurrency exchange licensed in Hong Kong, HashKey, is suspending transactions made with Binance-linked wallets.

On April 19, HashKey, based in Hong Kong, shared an announcement closely related to Binance users. HashKey stated that it will not allow deposit and withdrawal transactions made from the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, Binance.

In the previous announcement, HashKey had previously stated that as a third party exchange, it would only accept deposit and withdrawal transactions from Binance.

In the announcement, there was no explicit indication of why such a decision was made. However, the details of the announcement included expressions such as “a change in our policy”:

Due to a change in our policy, as of May 10, 2024, HashKey Exchange will not allow any cryptocurrency deposit transactions from wallets hosted by Binance.
