The first Hong Kong-licensed cryptocurrency exchange, HashKey, is suspending transactions made from Binance-linked wallets.

On April 19, HashKey shared an announcement closely related to Binance users. Based in Hong Kong, HashKey announced that it will not allow deposit and withdrawal transactions made from the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, Binance. The restrictions will take effect on May 10, 2024.

In a previous announcement, HashKey had stated that it would only accept deposit and withdrawal transactions coming specifically from Binance as a third-party exchange.

No clear explanation is provided as to why such a decision was made in the announcement, but it does mention changes to their policies:

Due to a change in our policy, starting from May 10, 2024, HashKey Exchange will not allow any cryptocurrency deposit transactions from wallet addresses hosted by Binance.
