Crypto whales today invested hundreds of thousands of dollars into the experimental meme coin listed.
According to data provided by the on-chain analysis platform Lookonchain, the meme coin SLERF, listed on Solana (SOL) network today, attracted the attention of a whale.
The data shows that the whale made a purchase of 1.7 million SLERF worth 606 thousand dollars at a cost of 0.35 dollars. SLERF came into the spotlight when the project managers “accidentally” burned 10 million dollars worth of SOL they collected from the pre-sale. This transaction marked the whale’s first meme coin investment. The whale has not sold yet.
Following this burn transaction, the meme coin, with a total supply of 500 million and listed by numerous exchanges in a short time, drew both community reaction and was seen as an opportunity by some investors as seen in this example.
With exchange listings, SLERF rose to 1.3 dollars and is currently trading at 0.53 dollars.
