Crypto whales have been continuously buying a specific altcoin for the past 2 days.
According to on-chain data and analytics account Lookonchain’s post on March 9th, crypto whales are making serious purchases in Chainlink (LINK).
The post mentioned that 8 newly opened wallets from Binance made LINK purchases. A total of 831,160 LINK worth $16.72 million was acquired, with all purchases observed to be made from Binance.
Despite a mere 10% increase in the past 30 days according to CoinGecko data, LINK has lagged behind many other cryptocurrencies. It is believed that whales are making these purchases in anticipation of a further increase in LINK price.
Previously, a whale’s accumulation of over 5.5 million LINK from Binance across 55 different wallets had caused a price surge.
At the time of writing, LINK is experiencing a 0.8% increase and is being traded at $20.09.
