Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin addressed the highly controversial Shiba Inu (SHIB) donation in detail.
A global policy news site, Politico, detailed Buterin’s donation of a total of $660 million to an AI-focused non-profit organization in an article published on March 26th.
Politico questioned the donation, noting that the organization only had $2.5 million in hand this year.
On Twitter, a user asked Vitalik Buterin a question regarding the donation. The user thought the donation was not more than 600 million dollars, but Politico stated otherwise.
Vitalik Buterin stated that he had a similar experience with Cryptorelief and predicted a significant drop within a few days. He expressed that the performance exceeded expectations, considering that he was expecting to send only $10-25 million worth of SHIB.
Following Vitalik Buterin’s transfer, Shiba Inu saw a significant increase in value due to a large donation being made.
