Major portfolio managers in the US are considering increasing their Bitcoin investments from 1% to over 3%.
Matt Hougan, the CIO of Spot Bitcoin ETF issuer Bitwise, stated that professional investors in the US are considering increasing their Bitcoin investment rate to over 3%. The CEO noted that the long-term demand for Bitcoin has increased, reminding that the previous investment perception was limited to 1%.
Hougan pointed out that due to ETFs, investing in Bitcoin has become safer, emphasizing that investors are now more eager in this area. He interpreted the investment of $11.7 billion in spot Bitcoin ETFs in the US in a short time as a sign of long-term demand.
In a notable statement he made on social media about the subject, Matt Hougan said:
Since 2018, I have been talking to professional investors about Bitcoin. For the past six years, most of the discussions have focused on the 1% allocation. This is what most investors would think of at most. But this has changed. Almost every investor I talk to mentions an allocation of over 3%.
