US-based betting platform Kalshi has entered the business of price prediction for cryptocurrencies.
Popular betting platform Kalshi has decided to open up to the cryptocurrency sector. The site, which previously offered betting on media-covered events such as “Who will win the US presidential election, will the US shut down TikTok this year,” recently started offering betting for cryptocurrency price predictions.
Users are currently able to make predictions for Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH). Payments for bets can be made in dollars, not in cryptocurrency.
The site offers bets such as “What will the price be at 16.00 today for Bitcoin and Ethereum?” and also prediction options like “Will Bitcoin reach 100,000 dollars this year?” or “How high will Ethereum rise this year?”
According to the current betting data, users give a 49% chance for Bitcoin to reach 100,000 dollars before January 2025.
