The first Hong Kong-licensed crypto exchange HashKey suspends transactions from Binance-linked wallets.
HashKey announced on April 19 that it will not allow deposits and withdrawals from the world’s largest crypto exchange Binance. Restrictions will take effect from May 10, 2024.
In a previous announcement, HashKey had stated that as a third-party exchange, it would only accept deposits and withdrawals from Binance.
The decision did not provide a clear explanation for the change, but the details of the announcement included the wording “a change in our policy”:
Due to a change in our policy, as of May 10, 2024, HashKey Exchange will not allow any crypto deposits from wallet addresses hosted by Binance.
