South Korea’s largest cryptocurrency exchange Upbit has announced that it will list 2 new altcoins.
Upbit, the giant exchange of South Korea, where the transaction volumes of Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) are lagging behind altcoins, has announced a listing for Mantle (MNT) and Pocket Network (POKT).
In an official announcement on its website on March 27, Upbit revealed that it will list MNT at 12:00 GMT today and POKT at 11:00 GMT today.
According to the exchange, deposits for ALT and PTYH will start at 10:00 GMT. However, only the Ethereum network will support MNT, and only the Pocket Network will support POKT. Upbit warned against transfers from other networks.
MNT will be tradable in Bitcoin, USDT, and South Korean Won (KRW) pairs, while POKT will only be available for trading in USDT and BTC pairs. Following the listing, traders will be able to trade in MNT/KRW, MNT/BTC, MNT/USDT, POKT/BTC, and POKT/USDT pairs.
According to CoinGecko data, after the announcement, the altcoins surged. POKT price soared from $0.177 to $0.453, a 155% increase, while MNT rose from $0.9 to $1.28, a 33% increase.
