The Ethereum layer 2 project Arbitrum (ARB) plans to invest hundreds of millions of dollars to support Web3 games in the ecosystem.
In a recent post, the Arbitrum Foundation stated that about $400 million worth of 200 million ARB would be spent to support Web3 games and encourage new developments in the ecosystem.
The team emphasized that this move, named the “Game Catalyst Program,” will be spread over a 2-year period, with 160 million ARB to be given to teams developing new games and 40 million to be used for infrastructure improvements:
