The DeFi protocol Hedgey was hit by a cyber attack worth 45 million dollars.
According to Cyber Alerts, the DeFi protocol Hedgey was attacked on April 19. The attacks were carried out on both the Arbitrum and Ethereum networks.
As a result of the cyber attack, Hedgey lost approximately 42.8 million dollars on the Arbitrum network and approximately 1.9 million dollars on the Ethereum network.
In an official statement from Hedgey’s social media account, it was stated that the details of the attack were being investigated, along with a warning to users:
Security Alert: We are investigating an attack on the Hedgey Token Claim Contract. If you have created active claims, please cancel them by using the “Terminate Token Claim” button at https://app.hedgey.finance/token-claims. We are actively working with our auditors and team to understand the attack and to stop any ongoing attacks. We will share more information as we learn more.
