JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon has expressed that he will defend investors’ right to buy Bitcoin (BTC).

According to CNBC, known for his harsh criticism of cryptocurrencies, Jamie Dimon said, he doesn’t know what Bitcoin is for but will defend investors’ right to buy.

Dimon used the following words in his statement:

I don’t know what Bitcoin is for. Just like I defend your right to smoke, I’ll defend your right to buy Bitcoin. Personally, I will never buy Bitcoin.

Despite his criticism, Dimon did not hold back from stating that Bitcoin is used in illegal activities such as terrorism financing and fraud.

The famous CEO previously said that he was speaking about Bitcoin for the last time and advised against investing. Dimon’s comments had caused a small drop in the price of Bitcoin.
