The famous economist Peter Schiff, also known as the “Gold Bug,” issued a warning after the Bitcoin halving.
Peter Schiff sparked controversy with his statement on social media on April 20th following the Bitcoin halving.
In his statement, the economist targeted Bitcoin investors, asking “Are you celebrating tonight like it’s a party?” He warned that halving soon will result in the halving of investors’ net assets:
“Congratulations to the Bitcoin fans! Are you celebrating tonight with parties? I haven’t been invited to any. I think halving is a suitable name for what’s coming, as it will soon cause Bitcoin investors’ net worth to be halved.”
The economist, known for his frequent anti-Bitcoin statements, recently suggested that a potential sale by institutional investors could start a collapse and Bitcoin prices could start dropping.
