The largest crypto currency exchange in the USA, Coinbase, pointed out the factors that could determine the direction of the market after halving.
In a report published by Coinbase on April 18th, Thursday, predictions were made about Bitcoin halving. The report suggested that after halving, the cryptocurrency market could be guided by macroeconomic factors.
The Coinbase side, stating that the current macroeconomic environment is tense, emphasized that there could be differences between past post-halving periods and this time.
Coinbase analyst David Han expressed that geopolitical tensions, high interest rates, and inflation winds could steer the cryptocurrency market:
These factors are largely external to crypto and have increasing geopolitical tensions, longer-lasting high interest rates, reflation, and increasing national debts. After halving, these factors could determine the direction of the cryptocurrency market.
The Bitcoin halving is expected to take place on April 19th at 02.30 AM GMT.
