Famous economist Peter Schiff, also known as the “Gold Bug,” warned investors after the Bitcoin halving.
Peter Schiff angered investors with his statement after the Bitcoin halving on April 20th on social media.
In his statement, the economist targeted Bitcoin investors, asking, “Are you celebrating tonight by having a party?” He warned in a suggestive tone that the halving will soon cause a halving of investors’ net assets:
Congratulations to Bitcoin investors for the halving. Are you celebrating tonight by partying? I wasn’t invited to any of them. I think halving is an appropriate name for what’s going to happen, as Bitcoin investors will soon experience a halving of their net worth.
The economist, who often makes anti-Bitcoin statements, has also suggested in recent days that potential sales from institutional investors could lead to a decline in the Bitcoin price.
