The head developer of DeFi protocol Infinex has announced that they will airdrop to Synthetix Network (SNX) stakers.
The head of Infinex, known as “kain.eth,” caught attention with their post dated March 14. The developer, wanting to test how Ethereum’s recent upgrade Dencun has reduced transaction fees on layer 2 blockchains, announced that they will launch an experimental meme coin on the Optimism (OP) network and send it to SNX stakers.
In their detailed explanation, the head developer, mentioning “coming for 2,912 dollars,” managed to excite SNX stakers:
To test 4844 costs today for all SNX stakers on the OP network, I will launch a memecoin. 2192 dollars coming.
Kain noted that the snapshot as of March 14 had not been taken yet, but hinted that this transaction could take place shortly. The Ethereum Dencun upgrade took place on March 13, and fees on layer 2 networks such as Optimism, Starknet (STRK), and Arbitrum (ARB) were significantly reduced.
