19 suspects in Mersin were detained on allegations of fraud, offering high profits through a fake Bitcoin site.
The Mersin Provincial Police Department announced on March 13th via Twitter that 19 individuals were detained for defrauding people with a fake Bitcoin site.
The statement by the director stated the following:
As a result of the efforts of our Cyber Crimes Combat Division, 19 suspects who defrauded citizens with promises of high profits through a fake Bitcoin site have been detained. Well done to the team.
It is reported that the suspects are still undergoing interrogation at the police station and the investigation is ongoing.
